There are two ways to choose a design.
Buy a 'web template' online
There are lots of suppliers - try Googling for "web template", to get pages of designs to look at. After paying online (£10-£50) you download an empty site, with all the artwork and links between pages but no content: then I can insert your wording as needed, at the usual rates. Convenient and quite cheap, but the templates are often rather bland, suggesting US corporations rather than real people.
Have an individual design made for you
My designs try to catch the particular qualities of the client. Here are a few sketches. Click the thumbnail for full-size version.
| The Teacake Café Pretty much the bare minimum | David Garrick Sombre photo, dramatic layout: the site is really about one person and their qualities. Actors; solo singers; etc | ||
| Floribunda Gardening Nothing fancy. Honest and candid, open and reliable ... | Floribunda again, this time arty and upmarket -- less candid and open? Very fiddly to create. (Sorry, this doesn't yet work properly with Internet Explorer. Until I fix it, try Firefox) | ||
| The Foursome Quartet String quartet in chick-Lit style: frothy, bubbly and very pink | The Foursome Quartet again Same words, different look - intellectual and severe. | ||
| Two Gentlemen A two-colour background can enliven a formal layout | Statuary Abroad Design for a text-heavy page such as a newsletter | ||
| Parkinson's Pills Using a photo to establish a mood is very common | |
Spacious Just an experiment in minimalism. The little red triangles show where the links are |
